The MV Valentina liveaboard offers unique seasonal itineraries to the sought-after diving locations in the Sea of Cortez and Socorro, both famed for their incredible marine life encounters.
Up to 20 guests are accommodated in ten comfortable, air conditioned cabins with private facilities on the main deck. Seven of these feature twin bunks (same gender sharing), two have a double and single bed and there is one cabin with a double bed. Facilities on board include a sun deck with shaded area, loungers and a jacuzzi. The spacious dining area is air conditioned and furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs. The kitchen provides a variety of Mexican, European and Asian cuisine and the bar is stocked with complimentary soft drinks and draught beer.
Seasonal itineraries to the Sea of Cortez (Jul-Oct) are five or six nights in duration. Up to four dives are offered on all but the final day when two dives plus a whale shark snorkel operate from the accompanying Zodiac boats. The itinerary circumnavigates the island of Espiritu Santo and includes time at La Reina, with its huge walls of skip jacks, the playful sealions at Los Islotes, and the seamounts of El Bajo where hammerhead sharks and marlin are often seen. Further highlights include the squadrons of mobula rays at Punta Lobos, the Salvatierra ferry wreck and the chance to snorkel with whale sharks in La Paz Bay.
The boat sets sail to Socorro (Nov-May) on nine night itineraries, with six days of diving, where encounters with giant Pacific manta rays are the diving highlight, but there is also a lot more to experience.
