Up to three dives a day are led by by the experienced local guides who will also take care of all your equipment needs during your stay. Allow them to point out pygmy seahorse, hairy octopus, hundreds of nudibranch and flamboyant cuttlefish. On the larger size, you can expect reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, bat fish, bumphead parrot fish families, eagle and mobula rays. It has also been known to encounter manta rays in this area in season. Two night dives are included, but you may want more! Divers should have a minimum of 50 logged dives to join the trip as there can be strong currents. Nitrox is available.
During your adventure, you will also be offered the chance to do some land trips, including a visit to a local market and village. Extra Divers have been instrumental in supporting the village and its 250 inhabitants, who now have a school. Feel free to take useful gifts like pens, notebooks and toys. The boat has been operating in this region since 2015, but the crew, a lot longer. The trips do not follow a fixed itinerary and many of the dives are exploratory. It’s a chance to see somewhere else before your friends! Depending on the route, you will require overnight stays in Manado and domestic flights to get you to the boat. You should also note that it’s available for full charter.
