This 26 metre ocean expedition trawler yacht, designed to ride the sea in comfort, safety and style cruises the waters of Little Bahama Bank (Mar-Apr and Nov-Dec).
There are date specific expeditions concentrating solely on tiger shark encounters, an elusive and usually solitary species readily seen here. They can reach lengths in excess of eight metres, but most of those encountered by divers are in the range of two to four metres.Trips depart West Palm Beach, Florida for seven days. Accommodation for a maximum of 12 guests is in five spacious cabins, with upper and lower bunk beds, and one large cabin with a double bed. There are three separate heads with showers. Meals are served in the salon which also features a TV/DVD and there is adequate shelving space for cameras. Life on board is informal and relaxing, comfortable and clean.
The itinerary includes opportunities to observe tiger sharks, great hammerhead, Caribbean reef, lemon and nurse sharks. It is also possible to see Atlantic spotted and bottlenose dolphins during your trip. Up to five dives a day are offered. Due to the nature of the activity, and the geographic diving conditions, it is recommended that you are an experienced diver (minimum Advanced Open Water or equivalent) and accept the risk associated with shark diving. Given the traditional inquisitive and potentially aggressive behaviour of these sharks, there is some risk during shark diving encounters. Prior to any diving with sharks, you will have a safety briefing in regards to diving and basic shark behaviour, and emergency procedures. Your safety is our primary concern and diving with sharks is potentially dangerous. You will be accepting all the responsibility for participating in the dive and should have emergency type insurance.
