Turneffe Island Lodge
10 days London to London [FB]
- Turneffe, 25 miles east of Belize City, is the largest of Belize's three atolls. Offering divers a variety of experiences, from drift dives to wall dives and creek dives, this area is one of the most fertile marine ecosystems in the world. There are over 70 dive sites less than 800 metres from the Turneffe Island Lodge. One of the favourite sites being the 'Elbow,' which includes a steep sloping drop-off, as well as a shallow reef and a shipwreck.
Turneffe Island Lodge's air-conditioned seven private cabanas and twelve standard rooms are only a few steps from the clear blue waters. Between dives relax in a hammock or take in the view from your verandah. The lodge is excellent for snorkellers as the clear, warm waters surrounding the island are shallow and teaming with marine-life and the remote location, peaceful atmosphere and small numbers assure divers and non-divers alike an exclusive experience.
