Turks & Caicos Explorer II

The Turks and Caicos Explorer II was designed and built as a corporate charter and liveaboard dive vessel in 1995 and underwent a complete renovation in February 2007. The vessel carries up to 20 passengers in staterooms featuring port lights or windows, individually controlled air-conditioning, and private en-suite bathrooms. There are plenty of areas to relax including a comfortable full-width salon with an entertainment area, ample room for sunbathing on the Boat Deck and a barbeque, wet bar and seating area on the Flybridge.

The dive deck features individual gear bins, rinse tanks, camera table, recharging facilities, and a swim platform for easy access into the water. Nitrox is also available.

Each itinerary boards in Providenciales and offers five and a half days of diving each week. Five dives are scheduled daily, including night dives, in waters boasting excellent visibility, wall dives and a profuse diversity of marine life. The region's plunging walls offer a multitude of dive sites and you will explore five different black coral species at Black Coral Forest, see the Reef sharks of Provo's Shark Hotel, deep-water gorgonians of G-Spot, and the Spotted Eagle Rays of Double D. A low annual rainfall and reliable ocean currents contributes to the visibility as well as providing nutrients for many large pelagics. Many of the dive sites visited are outside the protection of the Princess Alexandra National Park, although dive operators in the area are enthusiastic in their support of marine conservation and conservation measures, actively ensuring that the waters of the Turks & Caicos remain pristine for future visitors.
