10 days London to London [FB (On liveaboard only)]

Tiger sharks are readily seen in the shallow waters of the Little Bahama Bank. They tend to be elusive and usually a solitary species. Being nocturnal they come inshore at night to feed and retreat offshore during the day. They can reach in excess of eight metres in length, but most of those encountered by divers are in the range of between two and four metres.

We have two trips in November 2010 accompanied by the renowned Tiger Shark photographer Wolfgang Leander. These trips will concentrate on Tiger Sharks and nothing else. The best location to have constant shark action, whether night or day, is Tiger Beach and that is where the liveaboard will stay. It is said to be one of the best spots for shark dives in the world. You are likely to see Lemon Sharks and Tiger Sharks and if you are lucky Great Hammerhead Sharks. The trip will solely concentrate on shark viewing.

The Dolphin Dream is an ocean expedition trawler yacht, designed to ride the sea in comfort, safety and style. There are five spacious cabins with full size upper and lower bunk beds and one large cabin with a double bed, for a maximum of twelve guests. Three heads with showers and an outside shower. Life on board is informal and relaxing, comfortable and clean.

Your safety is our primary concern and diving with sharks is potentially dangerous. You will be accepting all the responsibility for participating in the dive and should have emergency type insurance. Shark dives occur at depths from 5 to 30 metres, often there is a slight current running. Due to the nature of the activity, and the geographic diving conditions, it is recommended that you are an experienced and certified Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) with both drift and deep diving. Prior to any diving with sharks, you will have a safety briefing in regards to diving and basic shark behaviour, and emergency procedures.
