Day 1. Overnight to Mombasa, via Nairobi

Days 2 to 8. Diani Beach

Arrive Mombasa and transfer to the legendary Diani Beach, and your hotel for the next seven nights. Either the Leopard Beach Hotel or The Sands at Nomad.

Leopard Beach Hotel [HB] - Atop palm-fringed coral cliffs, overlooking the endless blue horizons of Diani Beach, the Leopard Beach Hotel sits amidst twelve hectares of tropical gardens. Facilities include four restaurants, a cocktail bar, a pool deck and extensive leisure activities including an excellent dive centre. Guests can enjoy two private beaches and access to one of the most spectacular stretches of tropical coastline in Africa. Most of the rooms offer panoramic ocean vistas from private terraces. The Sands at Nomad's [B] - Nestling in ten hectares of indigenous coastal forest, overlooking Diani Beach, this boutique hotel offers 30 luxurious rooms and suites, and seven exclusive beach cottages. All are uniquely designed with air-conditioning and entertainment systems, many with their own Jacuzzis. There is a choice of fine dining options, a beach bar and a PADI 5-Star/SSI Platinum dive centre, as well as a pool and beauty treatment centre.

Over 32 dive sites and two wrecks lie within a 20-25 minute boat trip of Diani Beach. The HMS Hildasay, sunk in 1945, and the MV Funguro, sunk in 2002 both awaiting experienced divers in 22 metres of water with incredible visibility. All other dive sites are within 15 to 30 metres and offer excellent visibility and a variety of marine-life including Whale Sharks and other big pelagics.
