Sky Dancer Liveaboard - Galapagos
[FB (On board Sky Dancer only)]
Dive Worldwide is very excited to be offering space on 2010 whale shark season sailings. The best time of year to see the biggest and most prolific animals is in the winter when they are attracted by the cold water. Whale sharks start appearing mid to end of May when the water temperature drops to 15C. You can also see hammerheads in their hundreds.
Our trip dates during 2010 depart the UK on: 20 November.- The M/V Sky Dancer cruises the Galapagos Islands for 7, 10 or the occasional 14 nights in search of Sea Lions, penguins, schooling Hammerhead Sharks, turtles, stingrays, Whale Sharks and the magnificent mantas. Included in planned itineraries, subject to local conditions, are visits to the very remote islands of Wolf and Darwin. The newly constructed Sky Dancer features all the amenities you have come to expect of the Dancer Fleet; including Nitrox fills, private en-suite facilities, spacious lounge areas, fine dining with wine and much more.
In addition to diving the magnificent underwater sites of the Galapagos Islands your days are filled with island exploration and discovery. See Fur Seals and Sea Lions playing on the sand, Marine Iguanas swimming to group gatherings, Giant Land Turtles feeding, penguins diving from rocks, booby birds performing mating dances, flightless cormorants courting and scores of other species of flora & fauna catching your eye during surface intervals.
Most experienced divers will agree Wolf and Darwin are the best diving sites in the world! Sightings of the Whale Shark are common here and at the Northern Arch at Darwin, Hammerhead Sharks are not uncommon, nor are Bottlenose dolphins. The reef also contains many warm water varieties of fish found nowhere else in the Islands. Sky Dancer, carries a maximum of sixteen passengers in eight staterooms with either a window or porthole view. The dive deck features a water fountain, mask defogging station, two showers, and a supply of fresh towels. For photographers there are special rinse tanks for cameras and a photo-table complete with photo supplies. There is E-6 processing and light tables, a photo pro to help with your photography and a camera rental service. - Saturday
