Sand Dollar

The Sand Dollar, Bonaire is a reasonably priced and well managed resort, located right on the water with a small private beach. Its simple, yet effective, idea is that all of its guests, diver or non-diver, adult or child, should choose their own intineraries from a smorgasbord of activities and facilities, which includes on-site PADI five-star IDC scuba training facility, broad seaside terraces, tennis courts, freshwater pool and a small white sand beach. There are unlimited shore diving packages, boat dives, kayaking, and bikes for hire.

Quality and flexibility make the Sand Dollar an especially popular destination for couples, families and groups. The Ocean's Classroom Programme features fun and educational activities for children six to 16 years, and the Sand Penny Club is free for children three to six years. Plus there are a whole range of water activities including Bubblemaker, SASY and Junior Level Scuba Diving.

In addition, a resident naturalist/biologist gives guided tours of the island's numerous eco-systems. Snorkellers are offered the same first class treatment as divers, with numerous guided tours catering to each individual group. This includes night-time events and trips to the mangroves to explore 'nature's nursery'. With accommodation varying from studios to 3-bedroomed Oceanfront Apartments there is something for everyone. All the apartments are fully equipped, with a secluded balcony or veranda offering limitless views of the ocean and nearby Klein Bonaire.
