One of the most southeasterly islands in the Bahamas, San Salvador is known worldwide for the quality and diversity of the diving, with more than 50 dive sites to choose from. Just twelve miles long and five miles wide, San Salvador is quiet, friendly and unspoilt, with miles of deserted beaches and a lush underwater life. With shallow reefs, stunning water clarity and more than 20 miles of dramatic vertical walls beginning in as little as 40 feet, San Salvador offers a wealth of attractions to the visiting diver.

Perched on a pinnacle and washed by warm breezes and clear azure waters, the oceanfront location of Riding Rock is ideal for watersport enthusiasts. The resort features a freshwater swimming pool, marina and dive centre. Especially popular is the restaurant - specializing in Bahamian cuisine with an accent on fresh fish - and the Driftwood Lounge. Both provide a friendly, casual atmosphere and a magnificent ocean view. There are 30 deluxe rooms and 12 poolside rooms all with tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone and cable TV. The deluxe rooms have a mini fridge, ocean view and patio with chairs.

Riding Rock is custom designed for divers with all the facilities close to hand. There is an impressive trio of custom dive boats complete with deep V-hulls, walk-through transoms, dive platform with extended ladders, camera rinse and protection from the sun. A modern dive centre is located in the marina complex complete with air compressors, guest gear storage and equipment rental facilities.
