Mango Inn, located on Utila in the Bay Islands of Honduras, is a charming dive operation and hotel, with the atmosphere and feeling of the Western Caribbean. It is constructed entirely from wood, with large airy rooms and huge porches, where you can swing in hammocks and watch the day go by. Within walking distance of all amenities and beaches and nestled in a beautiful tropical garden, all rooms and cabins have the comfort you expect to make your stay as enjoyable and perfect as possible.

There are four room types designed for all budgets. The restaurant and bar, The Mango Cafe, is situated in lovely tropical gardens with food served all day. The new deck and pool with hot-tub and kids pool is an ideal place for you to relax and refresh after a day of diving. A PADI Career Development Centre and Gold Palm resort offers diving for beginners and experienced divers.

Excursions and activities on offer range from cycling to horse-riding, sea kayaking, hiking, snorkelling and excursions to the Utila Cayes. If you need a break from diving then head to the Iguana Research and Breeding Station, this makes for an interesting expedition. Watch the several different species of bizarre looking swamp creatures feed and wander around their natural habitat.

If you are an experienced diver, you will find that Utila has much to offer. On the west end of the island the currents allow for some wonderful drift diving. There is also a great wreck dive; the Halliburton 211 that was sunk as an artificial reef.

Whale Sharks are seen year round but for the best chance of seeing one, we recommend timing your visit during the most active months of March through May. The boat captains take the time to look for signs of Whale Shark on every dive trip to the north side of the island to maximize your chances of swimming with one. Private boats to look for Whale Sharks can also be arranged.
