- Sea Hunter operates a series of 10-day cruises to Cocos Island out of Puntarenas plus some 12, 13 and 15-day trips combining Cocos Island and Malpelo Island. It is recommended that you arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica the day before your cruise is due to depart and that you stay one night in San Jose after the cruise returns.
The Sea Hunter is a 35-metre, dedicated, modern dive cruiser that has been specifically built for long-range dive expeditions to destinations like Cocos Island and Malpelo. A superbly comfortable, stable and spacious vessel with everything a serious diver/photographer could wish. She is now a rare hybrid that combines the large working platform and powerful machinery of a functional work boat, with the comfortable and functional interior of a modern luxury yacht.
Sea Hunter is completely air-conditioned with a library, television and VCR. She has eight cabins for a total of eighteen passengers, all with private bath. Dive facilities are extremely well designed with individual gear storage, private camera/strobe storage shelves including individual 110-volt AC power, E-6 processing and a private dryer for clients' towels and bathing suitsSpaces to these remote islands are very limited. Hence we suggest early planning in order to secure your preferred departure.
