Loloata Island Resort, offers convenience, excellent cuisine and natural beauty. The resort island is only 30 minutes from Port Moresby, but you'll feel like you're a world away on this beautiful Melanesian garden isle. The resort's dive centre offers adventurous wreck dives throughout Bootless Bay, night dives and superb diving excursions to nearby Horseshoe Reef Marine Park. Non-diving activities include snorkelling, kayaking, water skiing and wind surfing.

Day 10. Transfer to Port Moresby, 1-night [RO]

Day 11. Fly to Alotau, Tawali, 7-nights [FB]

Tucked away, only accessible by boat, sits what may be Papua New Guinea's best kept scuba diving secret - Tawali Resort. Located on a volcanic bluff overlooking the clear protected waters of Milne Bay.

Tawali's location is unique in Papua New Guinea because it offers the best of exotic 'muck diving' in Milne Bay, coral reef and prolific blue-water diving with schooling pelagics and the larger predators like sharks, rays, and even small whales. Big animals that are often seen include Hammerhead Sharks, Giant Manta Rays, and occasionally Whale Sharks and Minke Whales.

There are over 25 dive sites within a 5-minute boat ride of the resort. The resort also offers unlimited shore diving from the dive dock. The house reef is excellent. Night dives are always available. Dives on the outer reefs or nearby islands are also available; further dive sites typically take 25 to 40 minutes to reach. Coastal day dives are scheduled for mornings and afternoons with two dives per trip. Book both the morning and afternoon charter (four dives) and get a free night dive.

Covered walkways link the main reception and dining areas with the rooms themselves, which are huge. Two queen size beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, safe, a well-appointed modern bathroom, and what may be the ultimate private balcony that overlooks the bay of reef-fringed, deep blue water, and framed by stands of tall tropical trees.

Besides the beautiful main dining room guests are able to dine outside on the verandah overlooking the rainforest. Three buffet style meals are served daily. Snacks, juices, coffee and tea throughout the day are included.

The resort also has a unique observation house and deck overlooking the bay in which guests can relax, play games, and socialize. There are a variety of activities for divers and non-divers around the resort, including hiking to waterfalls and caves, snorkelling and village visits.
