Hamanasi Resort

Lying on the coastal mainland between Dangriga and Placencia is this small welcoming hotel, set in eight hectares of rare coastal forest teeming with birds, flora and orchids and only a few steps from the shores of the Caribbean. Hamanasi is located on a beautiful, nineteen kilometre stretch of beach, from where you can explore more reef and more inland attractions than from any other location in Belize. The hotel has an on-site PADI 5-Star Gold Palm Dive Centre, with two fully equipped boats visiting, amongst others: Glover's Reef Atoll, Turneffe Islands Atoll, the Elbow, Lighthouse Reef, the Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye. Gladden Spit on the Southern Barrier Reef, just over one hour from Hamanasi, is famous for its Whale Sharks.

The main house is reminiscent of a plantation home, and houses bar, restaurant and lobby. There are two honeymoon suites and twelve beach front rooms, all with breathtaking ocean views. Six jungle cabins are situated on stilts within the tree canopy - ideal for bird watchers or those preferring extra privacy. All rooms are spacious, light and air-conditioned, with a private verandah, ceiling fans and en-suite facilities. Each is decorated with hardwood furnishings and local folk art.
