El Pescador Punta Gorda

This family run resort, in the Toledo area of Southern Belize, encompasses 470 acres, nestled in coastal mountains and rainforest along 2.5 metres of the Rio Grande. From El Pescador you can take part in a multitude of cultural and active excursions: hike along rivers and mountain foothills, visit ancient rainforest and Mayan ruins and snorkel with the shy and friendly Manatees. El Pescador comfortably accommodates 24 guests in twelve magnificently appointed individual cabanas, terraced above a jungle hillside atop the Rio Grande. Each cabana is air-conditioned and has its own private verandah with fabulous vistas over vast jungle reserves, with Howler Monkeys, toucans, parrots, and a vast array of exotic plants, shrubs and trees.
