Welcome to Denis Island - a magical retreat, lost amid the azure waters of the western Indian Ocean where man's footprints are still a comparative rarity. Nestling near the ocean, amid tropical gardens, are 23 elegant cottages and two villas. The deluxe, airconditioned cottages offer a high standard of comfort and tasteful surroundings.

Cottages have ocean facing verandahs, and courtyards dotted between casuarinas and coconut trees to ensure total privacy. The Family Villa (Villa Prince Noir) is perfect for families, with a separate lounge that will accommodate two children, up to 12 years of age. The Executive Villa (Bois D'Argent) features lounge, verandah and an outside patio and courtyard, and is ideal for couples. There is also a spacious bar and a restaurant with a reputation for producing some of the Seychelle's finest cuisine.

As well as magnificent beaches the island offers numerous activities for the more active. There is a small, professional dive centre on site, which is PADI accredited and can offer courses for novice and advanced divers alike. The protected underwater world around Denis ranks as one of the finest areas for diving in the Seychelles and the diverse dive sites allow a fabulous opportunity to see turtles, sharks, Sting Rays, sailfish, tuna and dolphins with Whale Sharks and Manta Rays often sighted from September to November.

Other watersports, such as fishing, deep-sea and the local art of bottom-fishing, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, are available and there are hiking trails and also guided nature walks for those who prefer terrestrial activities.
