British Columbia Liveaboard

The lushness and density of invertebrate life in the pristine and sheltered waters of British Columbia is amazing. The octopus and Wolf Eel encounters are legendary, and topside scenery is as spectacular as the wall and drift diving. One of the most incredible things about British Columbia is how calm and sheltered the inside waters are. Water temperatures are consistent from Vancouver to Juneau and average 10'C during the summer, when nutrient-rich waters attract Humpback whales, Grey Whales and Orcas.

Port Hardy and Vancouver Island charters are perfect for photographers and serious divers who want to maximize the number of cold water dives they do during a trip. Popular charters include seven day / six night departures from Vancouver to Port Hardy and ten day circumnavigations of Vancouver Island. There are also trips from Vancouver into Alaska, and trips that actively seek out the elusive Six-gill Shark.

The Nautilus Explorer is a steel-hulled boat which specialises in catering to more experienced divers looking for advanced and sometimes challenging liveaboard diving. There are nine lower deck staterooms with side by side beds and private heads with separate shower stall, and two larger upper deck executive suites with big windows, wardrobe, a desk and outside doors. The only bunk beds onboard are in the dormitory.

Meals feature 4-star cuisine and all trips feature an onboard naturalist, marine ID classes, kayak and sailing lesson with use of kayaks and Laser sailboat, inter-tidal walks and shore hikes.
