Diving in the Gaafu Alifu Atoll includes many channel dives such as Nilandhoo and Viligili and plenty of opportunity for exploratory diving. Departing from Kooddoo, there are a handful of liveaboards operating unique itineraries in season.
The itinerary below is based on a seven night special trip on board the MY Sheena exploring the dive sites of the Gaafu Alifu Atoll. To join the trip, divers must have logged 60 dives. Longer two week trips are also scheduled. Please ask the Dive team for details.
Day1: Depart the UK for Malé
Day2: Arrive and transfer to liveaboard
On arrival you will need to wait in transit for your domestic flight to Kooddoo, where the M/Y Sheena begins this unique southern itinerary around the Gaafu Alifu atoll.
Settle in to your cabin and set sail on your southern Maldives liveaboard adventure.
Days3-8: Dive and explore the Gaafu Alifu Atoll
The southern Maldives offer some of the most untouched and exciting diving in the Indian Ocean, with two or three dives planned for each day.
Your liveaboard will include some regular and also some less explored dive sites. It's a special seasonal diving adventure.
Day9: Return to Kooddoo and depart
Transfer back to the airport for your domestic flight back to Malé and onward international flight from there. If you would like to extend your stay in the Maldives, speak to a member of the Dive team about your options.
Day10: Arrive UK
