Jordan’s most spectacular natural and spiritual landscape, The Dead Sea’s most famous attraction is the hot salty sea water.
It is some ten times saltier than seawater, and rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several others. The unusually warm, salty, buoyant and mineral rich water has attracted visitors since ancient times, all of whom have floated effortlessly on their back while soaking up the water’s healthy minerals with the gently diffused rays of the Jordanian sun.
Combine this with the oxygen-rich air, the mineral-rich, black mud along the shoreline, and the adjacent freshwater and thermal mineral springs and you have spa heaven.
