Located on the North Malé Atoll, this resort on the small island of Thulhagiri offers a perfect balance of unspoilt beauty with all of life’s little comforts.
Accommodation is in rustic, palm thatched roof beach bungalows or modern water bungalows built over the turquoise lagoon. Amenities include air-conditioning, TV, mini fridge and all you need for a comfortable week in paradise. Facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant serving buffet meals, a spa, beach bar and coffee shop. A range of land sporting activities and water sports are available.
The on-site dive centre offers a full range of courses and diving activities. The house reef is great for snorkellers and divers, with eagle rays, turtles and black-tip reef sharks often seen.
The island is famous for its bird population, a place where you can see Kambili and Maakana, two local species, herons, terns and a flock of colourful budgerigars. The resort is a very relaxed place to stay, popular with visitors from around the world. It takes 20 minutes to walk around and WiFi internet access is available in hotspot areas.
Transfer to the resort is a 20 minute speedboat journey from Malé International Airport.
Sub Aqua Dive Centre
The PADI and SSI affiliated dive centre offer a full range of courses delivered by an experienced multilingual team. The lagoon is a safe place to learn to dive and experienced divers can enjoyed unguided shore diving along the house reef, with its three clearly marked entry/exit points.
The house reef offers easy access to an amazing underwater world for snorkellers and divers. Here you can expect colourful corals, eagle rays, turtles and black-tip reef sharks. There are at least 30 dive sites that are regularly visited by boat on both sides of the atoll. Half day trips include exciting include the popular Manta Point, best visited Dec-May when you have the best chance of manta ray and whale shark encounters. Banana Reef has long been a popular site, here you can expect soft corals, fans, schools of tropical fish and plenty more.
Fluo diving is available and Nitrox is complimentary for qualified divers.
