Located 30 miles south west of Mombasa, this Sands at Nomad sits directly on the beautiful Diani Beach and is nestled amongst 25 acres of indigenous coastal forest.

Its 18 double rooms are accommodated in the main reception building, and offer a forest or partial sea view. Each is equipped with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, minibar and satellite TV. For those looking for something a little more special, there are a number of beachfront cottages and suites available, individually furnished with an inspired combination of Swahili furniture and mahogany woodwork. Internet access is available in all rooms. The resort features a variety of dining options including its famous Japanese restaurant.  There is a beach bar, swimming pool, plus opportunities for windsurfing and kite surfing.

Immerse yourself in the warm Indian Ocean whether it’s for snorkelling, diving or taking part in other watersports. Alternatively, explore the coastal forest and its abundant wildlife, relax in the on-site massage centre or play a round on the championship 18-hole golf course; these are just a few ideas of what’s available.

Diving the Crab

Diving the Crab is the on-site PADI and SSI affiliated dive centre. Daily boat dives operate to the north and south where divers enjoy macro life on Galu Reef, drift diving with turtles along the walls, schools of tropical fish on Kinondo Reef and exploring the few local wrecks. For those looking to learn to dive, the five metre deep resort pool is a great place to start and if you’re lucky you may just encounter a whale shark on your first dive as they migrate along the coast during the winter months.
