Overlooking nearby Sipadan, the resort, also known as SMART, is located on the southeast side of Mabul Island.

Accommodation is in wooden duplex chalets dotted along the white sandy beach amongst the ubiqutous palm trees. Each room is furnished with twin beds, shelving, air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom . There is also the option of a deluxe detached chalet which is larger and closer to the beach with a sea-facing verandah. Public buildings include an open air pavillion where meals are taken and an air-conditioned TV room.

Dive Centre

Up to three guided boat dives are included in your package each day. If you’re diving the waters of Sipadan, you will be out for the whole day. The local reefs are easily accessible and offer a rich macro life diversity, promising practically any tropical critter you may want to see, and in large numbers too. PADI & TDI (Technical) speciality courses are available. Particularly popular are the Cavern and Cave diving courses allowing you to venture further and explore the farther reaches of the famous Turtle Tomb and Cathedral Caves on Sipadan.

Mabul

Mabul Island is a short boat ride from Sipadan and, like Kapalai, is famous for its macro diving, gaining a reputation as one of the best ‘muck diving’ sites in the world. Sipadan
