The first and only guesthouse with resort facilities on a local island, this unique retreat is surrounded by tropical gardens, boasts a private beach and features 25 rooms and a villa with modern amenities. On the island you’ll find ancient Buddhist ruins, an inland lake, five miles of white sand beach, surf spots and a number of untouched reefs to explore.
Photographers, snorkellers and beginners have plenty to discover on the inner reef: beautiful hard corals, an abundance of macro life and numerous turtles. Experienced divers will enjoy diving the channels with barracuda, snapper, eagle rays, grey reef and nurse sharks and manta rays to name a few of the regular marine life sightings here.
Transfer to Gan is a 35 minute domestic flight from Malé. Please respect local customs and religion by covering up in public areas. Alcohol is not available on local islands, but it is possible to arrange visits to nearby resorts.

Diving is available year round, with the calmest conditions from Dec – Jun. Laamu Atoll is an untouched paradise for divers and snorkellers. There’s something for everyone here. The house reef is a shallow sandy area and home to juvenile fish, octopus and stingrays. With relatively few channels, photographers and beginners have plenty to discover, beautiful hard corals, an abundance of macro life and turtles swimming around the inner reefs. Experienced divers also enjoy the larger pelagic species found at the sites in the channels, barracuda, eagle rays, schooling snapper, grey reef and nurse sharks and manta rays to name a few.
