Set in the Belize jungle, on a steep bank of the beautiful Macal River, this intimate, eco-friendly jungle hideaway ensures a wonderful experience surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds, rustling trees and soft breezes. Owners Tom and Nadege ensure Mystic River is a true eco-lodge, generating their own electricity and purifying their own water for guests, without sacrificing the small luxuries life has to offer. They also have their own organic garden and are contributing to a reforestation, replanting many indigenous trees in the area.
All suites are beautifully appointed and feature a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom and a private verandah overlooking the river. Facilities include a pool, stables, restauarant and bar.
Mystic River is ideally located to enjoy Mayan ruins such as Xunantonich and Cachan Pech, as well as some of the caves for which this area is famous, including the Actun Tunichil Muknal site which was of uch importance to the Mayan civilization.
