The Manta Resort is a stunning, friendly hideway tucked away on Pemba Island - even the drive to get here is outstanding.
There is accommodation for up to 25 guests in spacious garden rooms and sea front villas – all with large beds, mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms, terraces and stunning sea views. The lodge is centred around a large, open plan relaxation area which includes a swimming pool. Your stay here is all inclusive, including one spa treatment day and sumptuous meals served on the verandah of the main building or sometimes on the beach.
Why not treat yourself to a stay in the underwater room. A private floating island with your bedroom four meters below the surface. It is yours to enjoy while sunbathing and stargazing on the top deck, lounging and dining on the water deck and sleeping surrounded by a tropical marine environment. Extra nights in the underwater room can be added on to any accommodation and dive package.
Activities at the resort include snorkelling, dhow cruises and guided walks in The Ngezi Rainforest.

The dive centre offers a wide range of courses, as is daily boat diving. The diving around Pemba is breathtaking. The untouched coral reefs surrounding the entire island make Pemba one of the top dive sites in the world. This is the perfect place to start your diving adventure with one of the healthiest coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, a water temperature averaging at 26C and the best visibility of East Africa of 30-40 metres almost every day. Characterised by a mix of drift and pinnacle diving, majestic clear blue water drop-offs and pristine, shallow reefs of lush hard and soft coral gardens, the sea is alive with a spectacular myriad of marine life including large pelagic species.
