The Comino Hotel is the only property on the island, and is an ideal choice for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle bustle.
Perfectly located overlooking the crystal clear waters of San Niklaw Bay, the two storey resort has 95 rooms, most with a sea view. The rooms are spacious with their own balcony, modern facilities and an en-suite bathroom. Facilities include two swimming pools and restaurants, tennis courts, non-motorised watersports, mountain bike hire and internet access in the lobby. There are two beaches on the small island (2km x 1.7km), and plenty of places to explore, nature to observe and the Blue Lagoon in which to swim or snorkel.
It’s all about the outdoors here, with an unspoilt wilderness offering a multitude of unique attractions and a landscape which begs to be explored. Nothing is far away and the relaxed atmosphere on the island helps divers enjoy their well earned break. It’s possible to twin centre Comino with a stay on Gozo or Malta or even all three islands.
A PADI 5* IDC facility, Diveshack Comino is managed and operated by the main shop on Malta. Located on-site at the Comino Hotel, the small, dedicated team offer a daily programme of boat and shore diving as well as the opportunity to sign up for a course from beginner through to instructor; a comprehensive range of both recreational and technical courses are available.
The crystal clear warm waters are home to a plethora of marine life and a variety of dive sites including gently sloping reefs, drop-offs, caves, and most notably wrecks. Visibility is often in excess of 30 metres.
The daily schedule includes two morning and one afternoon dive either from the shore or on board the custom boat, accommodating a maximum of six divers. The dive sites are chosen according to the experience of the group and can include sites around Comino, Gozo and Malta, where Cirkewwa is a popular area for divers of all abilities.
Diving from Comino is seasonal.
