The tranquil Caloura Hotel is located above a picturesque black sand beach with spectacular views of the Atlantic, and ideally situated to explore São Miguel's dive sites.

Caloura Diving Centre
The PADI affiliated dive centre offers daily boat dives in RIBs to a variety of local sites from May-Oct. Sea temperatures range from 17-24C.
Marine life is abundant in the subtropical waters attracting grouper, stingrays, moray eels, barracuda, dolphins and turtles. The topography is spectacular, with plenty of arches, caves, volcanic cliffs, rocky reefs and wrecks. This is a perfect destination for underwater photographers looking to take some unique and memorable shots.
The dive centre is located in Ponta Delgada. You will be picked up/dropped off each diving day.
